Ruth Heenan 1912-2009

30 years as camp nurse. How many of us have 30 years as anything?

Mrs. Heenan, or "Eyes" as she was lovingly known to us is an Icon of Calumet.

A woman who truly cared about us campers, be it with salt and water or her flashlight.

The email response to the notice has confirmed that this woman will always be with us.

To Peter, Heather, John and her entire family, our thanks for sharing her life with us.

Hutch passed away July 2. Hud, Hutch and I went to public school; and high scool together as well as Calumet. While time takes us in different directions, one never forgets those who shared some of life's best times. All of us who knew him, liked him, a lot. To his wife Karen, sons Matt and K.J., sister Anne and Brother Frank, our deepest sympathies.
